Shadow of Mine

This shadow looking back at me

She was cold, dark, and afraid

Her nights were long and neverending

Breaking down piece by piece

Tears falling to the floor



This fear sitting in darkness

All around me, it's slinking on the walls

Eating me alive ... bleeding inside

Banging my head against the wall

I scream "Go away, Go away"



With my heart pounding, I feel it pull, I feel it twist,

I feel myself shatter and die

And now I stand infront of the mirror

Not knowing what I see

Becoming what I do not wish to seek
